This may be one of the most important questions to ask a business consultant.
🌱 Want to grow a team? Ask if they have that experience.
🌱 Want a physical location? Ask if they have that experience.
🌱 Run a nonprofit? Ask if they have experience.
Lived experiences and lessons count for a lot.
Don’t just settle for some reports, market analysis and ideas from someone that “went to school for this.”
It just simply isn’t the same as living the life of an entrepreneur; the 6 am texts, the calling in of payroll from the zoo with your kids, the run back to the office because a toilet overflowed, the wearing and juggling of 7,000 hats amidst all the other aspects of life.
It for sure takes an entrepreneur to understand another entrepreneur.
If you want to be happy and get value out of your consultant experience, ask the right questions and make sure they have the experience and relatability.
