There’s no crying in baseball, but you’ll probably see it in business.
But, is it OK to bring the mush into your questioning and business decision-making process? My unpopular opinion strikes again… yep, and be sure to do it over and over again. Below I suggest some questions to ask yourself. Use some of mine, and make some of your own. Get your list together and ask yourself these heart bound questions periodically.
Am I delivering my promises?
Am I honoring my core values?
Will this decision propel us in the right direction, or it is purely based on financials?
What is the answer that will allow ME to sleep at night?
Will this matter in one year?
Will I be proud of this decision in 5 years?
Does this fulfill MY idea of success, or some else’s?
If you know me at all by now, I am all about heart in business. About uniqueness. About fulfilling a need and purpose for your community. About the original game plan and reason for starting your business. About finding that balance. About the various facets of success.
Having a soft heart in a cruel world is courage, not weakness… especially in business.
